I know I haven't updated in a long while, but that's not to say nothing has happened lately. Wow. I can only describe the past year as: completely amazing
Therefore, its story can only be told with the help of emoticons:

To kick off 2009 (AKA the best year ever), I spent the entire month of January with the love of my life. Sadly we parted ways for a few months while he went to boot camp and I finished up high school. That was really the hardest part of it all, but we made it through and grew stronger because of it. I was sure to attend his graduation and, surprisingly enough, he made it to mine as well. Less than a month after that, we said our vows, exchanged rings, and made it all official. It was no big affair, and certainly no church wedding, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I wore a white dress and he put a ring on my finger, so as far as I'm concerned it was exactly as it should be. He even got cake in my hair.

In more recent news, I'm about to finish my first quarter at the University of Chicago. The campus is gorgeous, the people are interesting, and the coursework is intense. I hardly have a minute to spare, but I it's giving me a great sense of purpose. Life is treating me really well these days, and I think it's only appropriate that Turkey Day is just around the bend - I certainly have more than enough to be thankful for.
